Shelly Snow Pordea is an award-winning novelist and publisher who has worked on nearly every side of the page. As an editor and ghostwriter, she has shaped traditionally published titles, picture books for a boutique children’s book company, and projects for self-published authors. That experience taught her how differently each path treats writers and their work.

She is the author of eight novels, including the Tracing Time Trilogy, the Flight Risk Spy Series, and The Cheating Wife, an Amazon number-one new release and winner of an International Impact Book Award for women’s fiction. She also sells her books directly to readers, building the kind of distribution most authors are left to figure out alone.

Today she is cofounder and editor-in-chief of Little Black Book Publishing, a hybrid house dedicated to amplifying women’s voices. There, she brings her full range of experience to every manuscript, pairing professional editing and design with the guidance of someone who has walked the road herself. Her commitment to women’s voices extends beyond publishing: as a public advocate for cult recovery and spiritual abuse awareness, she serves on the advisory boards of Living Cult Free and Tears of Eden. Her mission is simple: to encourage women to find their voice through the stories she writes and the stories she helps publish.

After fifteen years raising her family in Romania, Shelly came home to St. Louis and pursued a full-time writing career, proof that it is never too late to bet on yourself. She is the mother of three remarkable adults, wife to her favorite guy, George, for over three decades, and Buni (boo-nee) to two enchanting grandchildren.
