This week, I had the honor of speaking with Deanna Frances on her podcast Lean Into Curiosity.
We found each other through social media when someone shared this blog post I had written. It took about two seconds for us to realize that the message resonating with us both is what truly connected us. We are leaning into curiosity, and empowering others to do the same! I hope you enjoy the episode here or wherever you listen to podcasts by searching for Lean Into Curiosity. You can support Deanna and her message by leaving a 5-star review.
A few of Deanna's takeaways for this episode:
1. Have the courage to call yourself what you are and what you want to be.2. It’s important to be gentle and gracious with yourself.3. There’s always going to be a sacrifice when you decide to follow a passion.4. If you schedule well, are intentional and are present in the moment, you might be surprised by how much you can fit into your day.5. There is a time when you decide to pursue your creative passion that it turns into a priority.
A few of my takeaways:
1. Deanna reminds us that: Energy Creates Energy. Just Start.2. Face your challenges honestly: Imposter syndrome, Career education, Getting it "perfect", they are real feelings we have to overcome, and we're on a journey of self-improvement.3. When I'm stuck: I Get QuietThere are questions I ask myself.
Am I feeling this way because of outside forces? By that, I mean that Has someone else spoken words over me that makes me feel this way? For someone who is a peacekeeper and people pleaser, this has to be where I start.
What is my gut telling me? I'm learning to trust that more and more.
What do I really want? If I'm feeling stuck about this, is this really what I want? I take the time I need to answer that question. It doesn't always come immediately.
In any form, however we create, we are all artists.
I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed connecting with Deanna! Tell me!
Where is curiosity taking your creative passion?
Join me in the conversation on Facebook, and let's fuel each other's creativity along the way!
